Today I am bringing you a conversation with the formidable Ban Hass, integrative psychotherapist and experienced fitness professional bridging the gap between physical well-being and mental health.

Ban believes in a ‘health first’ approach to fitness and prioritises well-being over aesthetic results and physical transformations.
Music to my ears.
I have been excited about this chat for some time considerable time now and it does not disappoint. I initially refer to Ban as 'unapologetic' but she quickly corrects me. She believes rather than not giving any sh*ts, she actually cares too much!
In this episode, we focus the conversation around "joyful movement" (and there is a little swearing, so if that isn't for you, just move onto the next episode. 🥰)
Can movement ever really be joyful? Does that simply equate to more social media toxic positivity or is a helpful way to take the focus AWAY from diet culture.
How do we navigate our path away from weight loss and towards movement that feels good in our bodies and benefits our physical and mental health?
We talk about intuitive movement, our intention behind moving our bodies and how we can find our WHY for movement?
We also talk about normalising normal bodies and why Ban chooses not to focus on the BODY.
It's a conversation that is candid, open, honest and often spicy.
If you struggle with your relationship to movement or have always seen it as a punishment rather than a privilege, this is an episode you don't want to miss.
You can find Ban hanging out on Instagram or drop her an email at ban.hass@hotmail.co.uk.
Are you simply fed up with hating your body? Are you stuck in the 'earn and burn' cycle when it comes to exercise?
Maybe you just want to stop worrying so much about food or how your body looks.
You are not alone and your body is NOT the problem
Please reach out if you would like some support. We both have limited slots for Intuitive Eating and Strength Coaching, so get in touch with Christine or with Ela.
AND if you enjoyed this episode, please share and follow the 'Find Your Strong podcast' and if you have time, write us a short review. It would honestly mean the world. Love to you all, Ela & Christine x
