These are four important ideas that so often go overlooked.

  1. It is normal to stop eating your favourite foods whilst still wanting more.
  2. When people say they're addicted to sugar, it is usually because certain foods have become their only "go-to" when stressed or sad.
  3. You cannot fix your relationship with food with more food rules
  4. There is only one effective strategy after overeating, and it's unspectacular: get back to eating normally.
