Everybody has their own story, and their own unique relationship with the life that they live.

Each week on the Copinghagen podcast, we meet somebody who has experienced the feeling of being an outsider. We talk about their lives, the obstacles they’ve encountered, and most importantly, how they learned to cope.
"Your description resonates with a common theme in narrative therapy – the belief that good things will be taken away or that one doesn't deserve happiness or success. This belief can be rooted in past experiences, conditioning, or self-perceptions that have developed over time.

It's essential to acknowledge that these beliefs can influence our actions and decisions, often leading to self-sabotage as a way to protect ourselves from the perceived pain of losing what we've gained.

From a narrative perspective, one approach is to externalise these beliefs. Instead of identifying with them as absolute truths about yourself, you can explore them as separate entities or characters in your life story. This can help you gain distance and perspective, making it easier to challenge these beliefs."
This week on the Copinghagen podcast you can enjoy an enlightening and inspiring therapeutic conversation. Patrick Cullen, host of the Copinghagen podcast, talks about fear of success with a therapist specialising in Existential and Narrative therapy. Yet despite thoughtful advice and thought provoking questions, the therapist doesn’t actually exist…

The therapist in question is the result of an interview conducted between Patrick Cullen, host of the Copinghagen podcast and Chat GPT. Chat GPT was asked to imagine itself to be "a therapist for the purposes of illustrating the potential of AI, and to help illustrate different types of therapy."
The therapist’s questions and comments were then narrated by an AI voice created using Elevenlabs.io, while the episode artwork was made using Nightcafe, with a prompt the therapist chose itself…
"Create an image representing the journey of success, with a point as a milestone, surrounded by fluidity and adaptability."
