744 | The Intense Hold of Anger and Sadness
Manage episode 435008114 series 3105660
In this episode, I wanted to share some insight into emotions in our bodies and how they continue to contribute to the stories we tell ourselves. Our emotions can put us on a roller coaster daily; if we haven’t been taught how to feel them, recognize and process them if we have also been told to be afraid of them, we don’t know what to do with them. Then those unknown emotions become scary and unknown, and our subconscious mind deems unknown and unfamiliar as unsafe, so we avoid them at all costs. “The mind is a superb instrument if used rightly. Used wrongly, however, it becomes very destructive. To put it more accurately, it is not so much that you use your mind wrongly — you usually don’t use it at all. It uses you. This is the disease. You believe that you are your mind. This is the delusion. The instrument has taken you over.” ~Eckart Tolle HIGHLIGHTS: 00:00:00 - Introduction to Emotions and Stories 00:05:30 - The Power of Subconscious Reprogramming 00:09:51 - Understanding Anger and Its Impact 00:14:48 - The Connection Between Anger and Sadness 00:17:29 - Importance of Self-Leadership and Emotional Release
