This episode shares Donnie's story of overcoming internalization and addiction to find his purpose. As a child, he suppressed his emotions due to his upbringing. He coped with alcohol for years until a crisis on New Year's Eve 2022 prompted him to quit drinking. This allowed spiritual growth and finding wise counsel. Though unfulfilled for years in a career he disliked, meeting Nathan inspired him to resign and pursue his passions through service.
