No one sets off into the backcountry expecting to get injured or into trouble, and yet Search and Rescue teams in British Columba alone, respond to 1900 incidents a year.
In 2022, one of those incidents was our cohost, Hannah.
As someone who is cautious and prepared it was almost her worst nightmare to be calling SAR for herself. But it was a valuable experience (not just in being rescued) but learning first hand how the process works. We want to share those learnings with you!
