Today's Episode:

This Loving Kindness Meditation is an Ancient Buddhist practice that cultivates goodwill and universal friendliness toward oneself and others.

Loving kindness, compassion, sympathetic or appreciative joy (also called positive empathy) and equanimity are rigorous meditation practices, used for the most part to cultivate one-pointed concentrated attention, out of which the powers of these evoked qualities emerge, transfiguring the heart.

Metta meditation, or loving-kindness meditation, is a Buddhist practice for cultivating compassion for ourselves and others through directing loving, friendly phrases and goodwill.

The word “metta” is a Pali word, most often translated as loving-kindness, but has also been translated as *universal goodwill* or *loving-friendliness*.

Aligned with the traditional practice of Metta bhavana *loving kindness*, I have curated a 'new experience' of the traditional loving kindness meditation ~ one that is based on the careful witnessing of your heart open, to embrace the deliberate offering of your intentional desire to all others ~ as well as, beginning and ending with yourself.
