82 - Unleash Your High Performance Brain & Have It All
Manage episode 357124698 series 2812516
We drill ourselves into the ground, going all out in work, then partying or escaping on holiday to blow off steam, or else going all in on our fitness and health goals, essentially running our life like one big campaign.
Work or life is crazy and we think we just need to knuckle down and get the thing done because there’s light at the end of the tunnel and then finally we can relax.
We can pull this nonsense off in our early 20’s and 30’s, but eventually we pay a heavy price, often in the realm of health issues, burnout, or to the detriment of our relationships.
In this episode David and Rachel discuss:
- What the campaign lifestyle is and what really lies at its root
- How it’s rewarded both internally and externally and how to step away from this mentality
- Why hustling is NOT necessarily a bad thing and the importance of learning how to grind early on
- How to cultivate balance while actually INCREASING performance
- What putting a boundary in place looks like at a practical level even for someone with a very high degree of responsibility
- The difference between worrying and problem solving and how to take extreme self ownership without any of the self judgement
Personal transformation can, and in fact SHOULD be fast. What got you here won’t necessarily get you there. In order to break through glass ceilings in any area of your life, sometimes it’s necessary to overhaul your entire approach.
Episode 82 of the Chase Life podcast is bursting with personal revelations and ah-ha moments that will have you taking action today resulting in massive knock on effects in ALL aspects of your life!
