Training in martial arts like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Judo, wrestling, & Muay Thai is my outlet for improving my mental health and becoming a better person.

In the 117th episode of the Jiu-Jitsu Outlet show, I talk to BJJ brown belt Corey Tate.

Corey and I competed against each other in an AGF BJJ tournament in 2024 in Springfield Missouri and had two really fun matches. We ended up becoming friends and decided to do a podcast about how competing in Jiu-Jitsu helps our mental health. I hope that you enjoy this conversation!

We discuss how Jiu-Jitsu training helps your life off the mats, how it impacts your relationships, the benefit it has on your mental health, and why a return to more primitive roots might solve a lot of humanities problems.

This is a conversation you do NOT want to miss!

The information in this episode should NOT be considered medical advice but instead educational information. If you are struggling with your mental health and you want to speak with a professional therapist, I recommend https://Talkspace.com/... This is the therapy service that worked for me when I was at my darkest moments in life and dealing with panic attacks everyday.
