I'd like to share with you the moment that forever changed my life. I spent almost a decade struggling with addiction and the LA party scene. I knew I had to make a change because it was affecting my health, career, finances, and mental health. It was a toothache that changed everything.
As a result of my broken tooth, I had a root canal, which led to a deeper love of essential oils. My dentist said I would have had a worse infection if I hadn't used clove oil. It was at this point that I began my journey toward a healthier lifestyle.
I went back to what I knew, a yoga mat. As I began my practice on the mat, I was aware that it had to change to create the future I imagined of becoming a mother, having a family, and having a healthy lifestyle. As I lay there in Corpse pose, I couldn't move. I knew what I had to do. This was the moment when I let my old life rest and was born again.
