The internet is chock-full of nutrition myths, misconceptions and misleading absolutes. Social media accounts battle for our attention, and our dollars, by way of making extreme and controversial claims designed to hook us in. They will label the affliction we suffer with and offer a snake-oil nutrition solution so that we are drawn to follow their account, like their post and buy their books and products.

Don’t fall for the extremes.

In this episode, we tackle some of the more common nutrition myths and offer a simplified, science-based counter point to help aid you in your healthy living journey. Nutrition does not need to be as complicated as it has been made out to be.
Some of the myths we explore in today’s episode include:

  • Dairy/Milk are good for your bones
  • You have to be skinny to be healthy
  • White potatoes are bad for your health
