In this episode, Mike, Helena, and Expert-in-residence, Dr. Jillian Pintye, PhD, nurse scientist and epidemiologist, discuss the Rituals and Rites of Passage we experience as children and adults across different times of life and cultures.
We explore the transformative moments that define our lives and how rituals and rites of passage can add significance to moments—especially those we feel merit recognition. We explore:
🎙️The differences between rituals and routines
🎙️Rituals as a way of bonding within communities
🎙️Rituals as ways to meet needs and create a sense of belonging
🎙️The importance of anchoring experiences
🎙️How finding joy in each moment can create balance and flow
🎙️How rituals can help build mutual trust within teams and make even the toughest tasks enjoyable and meaningful
Dr. Jillian Pintye, RN, MPH, PhD is trained as both a nurse and epidemiologist and serves on faculty at the University of Washington in Seattle.
