E18. Trusting Our Bodies and Fostering Self-Compassion with Cassie Christopher MS, RDN
Manage episode 379560753 series 3519932
Join me in a great convo with registered dietitian Cassie Christopher as we chat about diet culture, emotional eating, and the courage to trust ourselves.
Cassie shares her personal journey and reveals how kindness, self-compassion, and awareness can help us break free from the damaging belief that we need to change in order to be accepted by others.
Cassie and I also discuss the challenges of finding non-diet health providers in a world dominated by weight loss advertisements, pharmaceuticals, and weight bias in the medical field.
Discover the four pillars of the Courage to Trust method and learn how calming the nervous system, embracing self-compassion, and recognizing the impact of trauma can help us liberate ourselves from the constraints of diet culture.
We can all use more self-compassion and this episode is a great place to start!
