Our first caller Demmi has a roommate who is in a relationship. Her roommate's boyfriend is over every night, but soon her friend will be traveling abroad. Demmi fears that her roommate is too dependent on her boyfriend, and she wants to discuss this with her roommate without getting defensive. Tune in to discover how you can bring up your concerns to loved one's while being productive and kind.
Our inspirational guest Mari Okazaki lost her father to a medical accident at 4 years old. At a young age her mother helped her to handle her grief in a positive way. Later in Mari’s life, at the age of 25, she tragically lost her mother to suicide. After being the one to find her mother lifeless, her family told her to keep her mom’s cause of death a secret. For years to come Mari would tell people that her mother passed away due to a heart attack. Finally, she decided to confide in a friend and talk about how her mother really passed away. Tune in to learn how Mari began to heal from her trauma, by gaining a better understanding of what it truly means to grieve with a positive outlook.
Perhaps you have just faced a hard loss in your life, maybe a loved one or a pet has passed away.
