🌯🚮🌎🇮🇩 As food waste all around the globe is a big issue, as 1/3 of all food in the world is being thrown away. Merijn has decided to actively make it his job to do something against it. He was sensitized early on, by having parents from Indonesia where food was handled differently and more carefully.
🍚>👤🇧🇪👨🍳 Along with that mindset food has always played a big role in his life, starting with the home-cooked Indonesian meals, and later on by starting a practical training to be a chef in Belgium, and also worked in a kitchen during his studies. While being in the hotel-management-school, he came across the organization “Slow-Food”, which focuses on enjoying, and appreciating food much more, than the Fast-food-scene.
