Andrew is a US Air Force K9 Veteran, a competitive Strongman, and competed in season 2 of NBC Titian Games. Andrew opens up about his life before, during and after the military and how is life changed after he lost his mother to cancer. HIs experience, strength, and hope got him to where he is today and he uses his story and lifting as a positive experience to help others. It was an honor to have Andrew on the show because Andrew is the type of person WE NEED in the world to show us when things can go wrong or if your feeling stuck, there is a way out. Thank you for your service and transparency, and thank you for sharing your story! ==========================================================================================================================================""After graduating from Crestwood in 2006, Hanus said he spent a few years in his hometown until 2009 when he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. There, he spent time as a military working dog handler with Beni, an explosives detection dog. That job, Hanus said, made him work hard to ensure that his team was never exposed to potentially hazardous situations. “It really drives you to have a very strong determination to be the best at what you’re doing,” Hanus said. “It definitely helped mold my character a lot in terms of determination and drive.” In 2012, Hanus began competing in Strongman competitions just for fun. In the military, he said, he was always eager to go out for athletic contests, challenges and events. He’s since competed in several Strongman events including the Official Strongman games. After nine years with the military, Hanus was honorably discharged in 2018. He left in order to pursue higher education. In 2014, he earned an associates degree which acted as a catalyst. Now, he has an undergraduate degree from Arizona State University and two graduate degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Hanus currently lives in Philadelphia with his wife, Lexi Bhatti, and works as a manager of public grants at Montgomery County Community College. His coworkers only recently found out about his upcoming appearance on The Titan Games." ========================================================================================================================================== @reps_for_responders @Heinous_Strength @therealjumpmanjay @inside_the_lab_podcast https://repsforresponders.org Youtube: Reps For Responders
