Today we continue our conversation with Jim Dudley from San Francisco. Jim was involved in an officer involved shooting as a patrolman in which he and his partner were nearly killed. We talk about how that incident has influenced him over the different parts of his career. We discuss how encouraging preparedness in the next generation is a great mission for older and retired officers and then we shift to talking about some of the challenges in modern law enforcement and the city of San Francisco specifically, but we only talk about politics for a few moments, because I also had questions about the movie industry in California and it's interaction and influence on law enforcement.

Resources:

  • Jim's podcast is one of the largest police related podcasts; it's called Policing Matters
  • Also check out other resources available at Police1.com

Music is by Track Tribe and by Chris Haugen
