In this episode, Dr. Aaron Carroll talks with Dr. Emily Sims, associate professor of pediatrics at IU School of Medicine, and Dr. Linda DiMeglio, professor of pediatrics at IU School of Medicine and chief of pediatric endocrinology at Riley Hospital for Children. They discuss type 1 diabetes and recent research discoveries that have helped improve treatment of the chronic autoimmune disease, including the first FDA-approved drug to delay onset of type 1 diabetes.
