Manage episode 359792827 series 3229768
In this episode, I talk to Olivia Baer about her struggles growing up with mental health issues. We also discuss the Top 10 Things People Can Do for Mental Health, and I share another Sign of Hope segment.
Olivia was overweight, had a speech impediment, and had a lot difficulty in school. She realized she was having abnormal mental issues as she approached her teenage years. But the school bullying made her condition worse, resulting in her senior year being one of the worst years of her life.
Listen in to hear this young lady's incredible story about losing weight, learning to love exercise, and working to overcome her issues. Things still aren't easy for Olivia, but she is now in her mid-twenties, married, and working towards having her first child. Yet, she took the time to join us in order to share important information about how mental health is something we should all take more seriously.
