God Sings for Us. Let Us Sing with God
“The LORD, your God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will renew you in his love; he will exult over you with loud singing as on a day of festival."- from Zephaniah 3:18 & 19
Advent replaces images of a vengeful, angry, petty tyrant God with images of God whose love for us is relentless and unfailing. Advent celebrates a God who comes to us and is already in our midst. During Advent we celebrate a God who sings for us.
Let us sing for God, ourselves, and each other. Advent is a celebration not only of what can be, but also of what is. Let us join in the singing. Let us sing for joy with everything we have, body, mind, and spirit.
God sings for us. Let us sing together with God.
