In this week's episode we covered Bladerunner 2009 news, Stray Kids at the MET Gala, Scavengers Reign news, as well as mini-reviews for Challengers and X-Men '97, before moving on to our main review for the episode, Shogun on Disney+.
This period drama set in 1600s Japan offers a refreshingly tasteful and accurate blend of Eastern culture and Western aesthetics. It also is reminiscent of the journey of a lot of befuddled English teachers that we worked with during our own time in Japan.
