This week I'm joined by author Joanna Warrington who begins her adventures with a trip back to a memorable Viking festival in York in the mid-1980s.
Next, we discuss how difficult it is to recreate the essence of a perfect day, or indeed any experience, when you return - even if it is only a day later.
For Jo's third day, we revisit the year 1988, and a day out when anything went, including mooning out of car windows. Due to a decision now regretted, however, the evening had a low-key ending. What would she do differently, given the chance to live that day again?
In the second half of the show, we discuss the great feat of human endeavour achieved by Matthew Webb, the first man to swim the channel. And finally, we visit 1950s America and enjoy our very own Back to the Future moment.
