Why are we drawn to sad music and movies? And why is sorrow, longing, and sadness necessary in our lives? Many researchers and authors have asked these questions and what they found is fascinating. Understanding the meaning of sadness and how it can benefit our lives might change our perspective on its important role in our human experience.
