Dr. Rick Henriksen, MD, is a board-certified family physician based in his hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the first President of Physicians for Ancestral Health (PAH), and recently founded Kestrel Wellness, which uses a Direct Primary Care model of service delivery.

Over the past decade Rick has been using Integrative Medicine and Ancestral Health principles to help his patients uncover the root cause of their symptoms and improve their long-term health.

In this podcast Drs. Tommy Wood, MD and Josh Turknett, MD interview Rick about how his recent transition outside of the conventional managed care system, utilizing a progressive health care business model.

They discuss the benefits and adaptations involved with being a solo practitioner, unconventional ways to find clients, and the software and apps he uses to track progress and keep clients engaged.
