You’ve probably heard about the term “nurses eating their young”. This refers to situations where there is hostility amongst nurses or other nursing staff at work, particularly involving newer nurses. Sadly, bullying has been historically accepted as a form of initiation whether consciously or without intent. With hospitals around the country onboarding a lot of new nurses, it is of great importance to refocus on this area to retain our nurses and build a healthy work environment.
