After last weeks show with the AMAZING and beloved Ariella Mendlowitz, my heart was full of thoughts about the time period after birth, also nicknamed, the 4th trimester.
In so many ancient cultures, pregnancy and birth were looked at as completely normal and healthy time periods yet a bit fuss was made over the postpartum recovery journey.
In our modern societies, women are seen as delicate during pregnancy, in danger while giving birth...and then, basically dropped once the baby comes and expected to "get back to themselves" almost immediately.
What's going on! What can we do?!?
