Part 1 of a 2 part series on how and why obesity has become so common. In this episode we discuss why 95% of people who lose weight regain it all or more within three years. We talk about the physiology of yo yo dieting (yes there is a scientific explanation for this) and the set point. We debate potential changes in schools and in society to try and address these issues. We also talk about the importance (and lack of existing) movement education. How many times a day do you do a deadlift!? Now at the gym with a barbell, but during daily routine. Now think about the masses who have absolutely no clue how to move their body through this range of motion or any range of motion for that matter; safely and efficiently.
