This week’s podcast features Mike Richards who owns and runs the Treasury Recruitment Company, a highly successful niche global recruitment business. He regularly speaks at global conferences on topics such as the power of personal branding and how to attract, manage and retain talent, as well as hosting the popular podcast where he interviews treasury professionals about their careers.

Mike is somebody that believes that building a business is all about doing the right thing, about honesty and integrity, and leading with the heart. These values have set him up for success, and as they say, success leaves clues.

In this episode Mike shares some great advice for job seekers including why you should view your CV like paracetamol for your recruiter’s headache, and why you should be viewing your LinkedIn profile as “brand you”. He also talks about his success in business, what helped him set up and scale and how he is still learning and developing and being held accountable.

Don’t be put off by the word “Treasury” Mike is a great storyteller and this episode is amusing as well packed with loads of takeaways for job seekers and those looking to set up their own business.
