Kayla Smith, 24 currently is a Medical Assistant for a Behavioral Mental Health facility in Detroit, Michigan. She also serves her country as an Army Reservist. Kayla is a student at Eastern Michigan University where she studies Biochemistry. While her passion and focus is in the field of medicine, where she aspires to be a Pediatric Surgeon, it doesn’t stop there. Kayla is now in hot pursuit of creating businesses that will produce passive income. She is learning about trust funds and the importance of wealth protection as well as creating wealth for the future. Her concerns about the economic impact of gun violence in society and how its effect on the economy and the communities of people of color in particular. Building a stronger financial incentive to reduce gun violence is at the forefront of her mission to improve her community.
