Media Literacy is the ability to:

  • Decode media messages (including the systems in which they exist).
  • Assess the influence of those messages on thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
  • Create media thoughtfully and conscientiously.

By understanding the media you can learn how to get information from it to help you understand the world around you. Propaganda if often thought of as something used for nefarious reasons, but propaganda can be used for good. Propaganda is just media coming form a biased source for a biased reason. This podcast could be considered propaganda because I have an agenda, I want to redefine how you think of preparedness.
Patricia Brooks helps us dive in and understand media and how the plumbing works.
