Emma is joined by Doug Toombs, a patient who has seen a significant improvement in his sleep apnea from using a Vivos DNA appliance.

In this episode:

* Doug explains how he ignored sleep apnea symptoms in his 20's.

* The PAC (premature atrial contraction) symptoms that got his attention and a referral to a cardiologist.

* Diagnosis with severe obstructive sleep apnea and a rocky time starting CPAP therapy.

* Doug beginning to research options outside of CPAP, including MMA surgery, MSE, and removable palate expanders.

* The feeling of being in the "Wild West" with experimental dentistry without enough data to draw solid conclusions.

* Doug's decision to start treatment with a DNA appliance from Vivos.

* Emma and Doug talk about all things "surgical success" rates, including the SHER criteria and cure rates.

* Doug shares his sleep study results showing a significant drop in his AHI since starting palate expansion and describes how much better he is feeling.
