298 - From Farm Girl to Foot Care Professional with Rebecca Eakins
Manage episode 381064654 series 2497358
Rebecca Eakins, from Buderim Foot & Ankle on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, is one of the most inspirational and down to earth podiatrists I've had the pleasure of interviewing. After graduating with dual degrees in Podiatry and Human Movements from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), she worked on the Sunshine Coast before eventually moving back to her North Queensland hometown of Ayr to be closer to family.
Several years later, in February 2020, Rebecca returned to the Sunshine Coast to open her own podiatry business, just before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Through perseverance and community involvement, Rebecca overcame these challenges to establish a thriving clinic.
She enjoys helping everyone, from children to athletes, maximize their health through podiatry. Rebecca's story shows that you can achieve your dreams, even in the face of adversity, with passion and grit.
