In this episode, Mike Goves (CPLD Lead for the River Learning Trust) discusses metacognition, self-regulation and self-regulated learning with Oxfordshire Teacher Training's Matthew Coatsworth. Mike looks in particular at the EEF guidance report on Metacognition and Self-Regulated Learning and the work of James Mannion and Kate McAllister, as well as proposing a scaffold for developing metacognitive behaviours.
