Leo, Bcom, and Kat are back to talk about the 3rd week of the Winter 2020 anime season! We chat about the Heian period practice of “morning after” poems, stemming from the latest episode of Chihayafuru. Bcom loved the Eizouken club’s conflict over prioritizing rule-of-cool or sakuga animation for their first project, although Sayaka’s steel chompers distracted Leo. ID:INVADED still has us arguing over how to pronounce the title. The cast of Dorohedoro basically find themselves in a George Romero zombie movie this episode, and we lose our heads over the background art and OP. Leo wishes he had his own pride of gal lion girls, while Kat ponders how tiny naked mole rats make love to their half-human queen in Seton Academy. Kat imagines a real-life fruit that tastes like a Starburst, inspired by the inventive food and wine that characters can eat on level 2 in BOFURI. Leo enjoyed Haikyu! Leo enjoyed a sports anime! Rejoice! Unfortunately, Kat watched a censored version of Interspecies Reviewers while Leo and Bcom watched the episode in all its glory, which leads to a LOT of pointless arguing. Nonetheless, our bickering is hilarious.
