Hey there, beachgoers! Ready for some fun in the sun and surf? Let's dive into the surf forecast for New York today!
For all you Brooklyn wave lovers hitting up Coney Island Beach and Manhattan Beach, we've got a heads up - there's a high rip current risk until this evening. Surf heights are around 3 feet, with a chance of rain in the cloudy skies. The temperature in the water? Upper 60s. So grab a buddy, stay safe, and enjoy those waves!
Moving on to Southern Queens at Jacob Riis Park and Rockaway Beach, same high rip current risk situation with 3-foot waves and low UV. The surf temp is also in the upper 60s, so be sure to catch those waves while keeping an eye out for any possible raindrops!
Now, for our friends in Southern Nassau at Atlantic Beach, Long Beach, Lido Beach, and Jones Beach, it's the same story - high rip current risk, 3-foot waves, and cloudy skies with a chance of rain. Temperatures are in the upper 60s, so enjoy the water, but stay safe out there!
If you're surfing Southwestern Suffolk today at Gilgo State Park and Robert Moses State Park, hold onto your boards as there's a high rip current risk, waves up to 3 feet, and a chance of rain in the cloudy weather. Surf temp? Upper 60s. So make the most of those waves while staying cautious!
And last but not least, Southeastern Suffolk surfers at Smith Point, Cupsogue Beach, Hither Hills State Park, and Ditch Plains, the rip current risk is high, with waves around 4 feet. Expect mostly cloudy conditions with a chance of rain, and a surf temp in the mid-60s. Time to catch those waves and maybe a few raindrops too!
Remember, folks: safety first! Always be aware of the rip current risks and swim near a lifeguard. And if caught in a rip current, relax, float, and signal for help. Let's make sure every surf session is a fun and safe one!
