Dr Makins discusses the different global health systems and how this affects quality of life for the people, in particular pregnant women. She discusses the importance of education particularly in challenging the stigma surrounding pregnancy in particular communities across the globe. Dr Makins shares her experiences working with Figo. It’s almost imperative to have healthy systems in place, and educational programmes to facilitate healthier pregnancies and smoother deliveries.
