Sci-fi prose writer, actor, and comics writer/publisher Alex Smith of Metropolarity joins me to talk about The Matrix by the Wachowski siblings, and his connections, ideas, and creations around superheroes. Please bear with me for this one, as the audio suffered from poor planning-- from here on out, episodes are recorded with a fancy little mic that looks like Wall-E, and I hope to have Alex back for another episode soon. This is one of my very favorite conversations on the show so far. | You can email Alex at theyarebirds (at) gmail, and find his work at http://metropolarity.net/. He has a story, "Clones," in Stories for Chip: A Tribute to Samuel R. Delany. You can see some words Alex wrote about Phaesporia, the movie we both appeared in, here: http://phaesporiamovie.tumblr.com/post/135364820330/listen-i-dont-know-if-its-going-to-come-full. The songs, chosen by AS, are the Blur remix of Massive Attack's "Anger" and FKA Twigs' "Two Weeks."
