In October, we celebrated National Disability Employment Awareness Month, speaking to people with paralysis about their careers post-injury. In this interview, we chatted with Shannon Minnick from Washington DC. She has been a C7 quadriplegic since 1990 and is the Director of Independent Living Services at Independence Now, Inc. She is also a mom and is Ms. Wheelchair Maryland 2010.
