Michelle Onaka, a recent TRIO SSS academic counselor, instructor, and data coordinator at Oregon State University, talks about engaging students in conversations around money. We talk about how to start conversations, about credit cards and debt aversion, investing, and even making plans to repay loans after graduations. Michelle shares the course she developed and her tools for helping students choose their own adventure by sharing resources from YouTube, blogs, podcasts, and other media.
Michelle received her BA in Economics from Ohio University, and her Masters in College Student Services Administration from Oregon State. In addition to her 8 years working with SSS through TRIO, she founded Intentional Money Life to help educators plan for their financial goals.
You can find her on Instagram, Facebook, and Linked in at Intentionalmoneylife.com and she gladly shared a wealth of material in her google drive at intentionalmoneylife.com/GAIN.
