Why do we eat food? What is the most common answer - to keep us ALIVE, we eat food to sustain us, to keep our body and mind healthy. It is not the food it is the nutrients from the food that is sustaining us - to absorb maximum nutrients from the food Ayurveda clearly tells us optimal digestion contributes to optimum nutrition absorption.
