John Pankow has been a familiar face to television, film and theater audiences for almost four decades. Although he has been a frequent guest on dozens of hit television series, he is probably best known for his roles on two highly regarded, long running sitcoms- as the loveable Ira Buchman on the iconic Mad About You, and as the ruthless & clueless Merc Lapidus on the Showtime hit, Episodes. He has appeared in numerous films including William Friedkin’s To Live and Die in LA, Oliver Stone’s Talk Radio, and the George Romero directed cult classic, Monkey Shines. His extensive credits on the New York stage include the title role in Amadeus, The Iceman Cometh with Jason Robards, The Tempest with Patrick Stewart and Bill Irwin, the acclaimed Roundabout revival of Twelve Angry Men, and, most recently, Kiss Me, Kate with Kelli O’ Hara and Will Chase.
