In this episode, Mike sits down with Yin Yoga Instructor and Author Paul Steele to explore the transformative power of yin yoga, especially for those over 50. The long, passive stretches in yin yoga are designed to release deep-seated tension while enhancing flexibility and mobility. But this practice offers more than just physical benefits—it’s a mindful approach that reduces stress and calms the mind, leading to a greater sense of well-being. Paul's yoga journey started about 10 years ago when he attended yoga classes to try to improve his flexibility. When he was 63, he damaged his knee in a fitness boxing class. To find a solution, he discovered yin yoga. This inspired him to attend a Yoga Alliance teachers’ course in Spain that taught him the practices and principles of yin yoga.
