Today’s guest is Kansas Jayhawks Mens Basketball Director of Sports Performance and previously the youngest Lead Head S&C at the Sacramento Kings in the NBA, Dr Ramsey Nijem. Ramsey has climbed the pro sport ladder to the top working with some of the NBA’s best athletes before shifting to the collegiate setting.

In this episode, Ramsey talks about his current role at Kansas, how got his first head job in the NBA at only 25 years of age, balancing formal education and experience, the value of having a strong network, creating buy-in with the NBA athlete, taking a “step back” on paper to the college setting, how he made the decision and advice to younger coaches looking to make a change in their career, some key performance metrics for his athletes, bucketing athletes into athletic profiles, tests and protocols/ management, differences from NBA to the college setting, and insight into his Applied Performance Coach Program plus a whole lot more!
