This is the first of three episodes where we have invited special guests and students from a summer Capstone and Contemporary Issues course at Canisius College. Students in this combined class are graduate teacher candidates on the verge of student-teaching, newly inducted teachers, and experienced health and physical education practitioners. Our special guest(s) and graduate students have reviewed the following journal articles to discuss accordingly:
Cardina, C. E., & Seymour, C. M. (2021). Physical Educators’ Attitudes Toward the Teaching Profession and Perceptions of School Climate. The Physical Educator, 78(6), 561–583. https://doi.org/10.18666/TPE-2021-V78-I6-10650
Schwamberger, B., Culker, A., Sahin, N., & Seymour, C. (2022, February 8). Why You Should Participate in Your State Association … at Every Phase of Your HPE Career. SHAPE America Blog. https://blog.shapeamerica.org/2022/02/why-you-should-participate-in-your-state-association-at-every-phase-of-your-hpe-career/
Seymour, C. M. (2020). A Professional Legacy Is a Journey: What Path Will You Travel? Journal of Physical Education, Recreation & Dance, 91(3), 3–4. https://doi.org/10.1080/07303084.2019.1705139
