Salvation Means No Longer Living in Fear
“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.” - Isaiah 12:2
Faith isn’t blind. Faith sees all the obstacles and challenges. Faith sees all the threats and risks. Faith sees and understands all that and chooses to live in trust anyway.
We trust that we are not alone. We trust that we are loved. We trust that our lives matter, and that we can make a difference even if it is in a small way.
We trust in the power of love to prevail over the power of hate. We embrace optimism over cynicism and despair. We believe the moral arc of the universe bends towards justice, even if we have to bend it ourselves.
The word salvation means deliverance and liberation. Faith means trust. We are saved when we place our trust in the one in whom we live and move and have our being.
Salvation means no longer living in fear.
