Episode 25. Jeremy Howe – The Comeback
Manage episode 366817306 series 3444972
In today’s episode I had the privilege of interviewing AFL superstar Jeremy Howe, who’s football career has been full of ups, downs, setbacks and resilience, with nothing bigger than a big fall early in the 2023 season breaking 6 bones in his arm and shoulder with his return game in just a few days time! Jeremy is the Vice Captain of the Collingwood football club and talks to us about what it takes to be an elite athlete and how his perspective has changed throughout his career.
We discuss the impact his wife and family have had on him, along with the coaches and staff at the Collingwood Football Club, helping him strive to be the best person and athlete he can be.
Here are some key points that Jeremy and I spoke about:
- The trauma the injury has caused
- Dealing with the doubts and near reality of never playing again
- The impact his wife, son and family have had on him
- His competitive nature and determination to win
- Being a good person and a good athlete
- On field tools to bring him back to the present moment
- Leadership
- Sleep and recovery
- What the future may hold
I hope you all enjoy listening to the conversation Jeremy and I had, and can implement some of the incredible knowledge he shared, to help you all on your self improvement journeys.
