据韩联社4月28日报道，27日，苹果公司某知情人士透露，2015年10月，美国专利商标局受理了苹果公司‘利用双重共振型Patch 无线装置进行无线充电及通讯’专利申请。
苹果公司这项技术，主要是运用10-400兆赫微波无线通讯技术，实现电传输。理论上来看，家庭中使用的Wi-Fi路由器，便可以实现无线充电。但在实际操作过程中，目前只能在短距离内实现Apple Watch及其他智能手机的无线充电，仍有许多问题需解决。据苹果公司内部知情人士及IT界相关人士所知，这项技术目前还处在专利申请阶段，预计投入使用还要很长一段时间。
