This episodes address the question of customs duties on E-transmissions by Big Tech companies and the moratorium extended through the World Trade Organization. It rejects taxation through so called import duties on Big Tech companies that lack an overall commitment to enhancing the skills of people in those developing economies. I reject the need for such taxation at all. It is my belief that a focus on education and training as well as opening those economies for activities in the digital economy are far better and advantageous to the future. Finally, I discuss Trinidad and Tobago and how it can develop its socio-technical economic model to improve access to opportunities and training in the field of digital technology. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/yourevolvingworld/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/yourevolvingworld/support
