"H. P. Lovecraft, Yuggoth’tan Mantarlar’ı 27 Aralık 1929 - 4 Ocak 1930 tarihleri arasında yazdı. Otuz altı soneden oluşuyor. Bu onun en büyük şiirsel (şiir) çalışması oldu. Soneler önce Weird Tales vb. dergileride basıldı. Bütün soneler ilk olarak 1943 yılında Uyku Duvarının Ötesinde (Beyond the Wall of Sleep, Arkham House, 1943) adlı Lovecraft derlemesinde basıldı."
