Monday we got a visit fromVaginal Steaming Practitioner, Mia A., who began her journey with the practice in 2013 in South Korea. Also known as "Chai Yok," vaginal steaming was quite normal practice for women who frequented the "jimjilbang's in S.K. Crafted Bloom: www.vaginalsteamlosangeles.com HOW DOES IT WORK? You sit on your designated wooden box or "chair sauna" which has a hole in the top. There is a heat source*, a pot of water and a specific herb blend (determined by Mia A. after the pre-steam questionnaire is complete.) The steam then carries the volatile oils from the herb blend upward, which then are absorbed into the external genitalia (vulva, vaginal canal, bottom of cervix), uterine cavity (walls), fallopian tubes, ovaries, & bloodstream (via blood vessels).
